FOX is rebroadcasting Sleepy Hollow‘s first season on Thursday nights. The episode on tonight is “The Lesser Key of Solomon.” Will you be watching?
Okay, I’ve always had a thing for the Headless Horseman from the famous Washington Irving tale The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Ever since I saw the Disney animated short based on the story, I’ve had a love/hate relationship with the headless rider. I love the story because I love spooky things, but I hated the fact that he was headless because it scared the living daylights out of me as a kid. Well, later in life as an adult, I saw Tim Burton’s awesome retelling of the story starring Johnny Depp and I realized that, while the headless rider was still really scary, he was a really cool monster character too. So now the FOX Network has done me a solid and has added a new show about Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman, named appropriately SLEEPY HOLLOW , to it 2013 Fall schedule. I can’t wait to see it!
Here’s also hoping that FOX leaves the show on the air long enough to garner a following.

The producers of the BBC television series Doctor Who did something different for the promotion of the recently ended Season 7. They made movie style promotional posters for each of the 14 episodes of the season. It was a neat idea and not one that is usually done for television episodes. There is an interview on the BBC America website with Lee Binding, the graphic designer who worked on the posters. You can read the interview here.
Here are the wonderful poster images for Doctor Who’s Season 7 episodes:

Okay, in between Avengers movies, I guess Marvel had time to make a TV show about SHIELD. So here’s the trailer for the new show that is coming this Fall to ABC.

I can’t wait to see the next season of The Legend of Korra on Nickelodeon this year. After beginning as a 12 part miniseries last year, Korra did so well and was so well received that it has been extended to a 52 episode series. The seasons will be divided into “books” with each season having 12 to 14 episodes a piece. The second season is called “Book 2: Spirits.” Here’s some info about the next season:
“According to the series’ creators, about half of Book Two will take place in Republic City and the other half will take place in other areas of the world. In a panel discussion at San Diego Comic-Con 2012, Konietzko and DiMartino indicated that Book Two will take place six months after the first twelve episodes. They said that it will partially take place at the South Pole, in the Southern Water Tribe, and focus on the mystical “Spirit World” (hence the title “Spirits”) and the history of the Avatar lineage and mythology. New characters include Tenzin’s older sister Kya; a waterbender, Tenzin’s non-bender older brother Bumi, Korra’s paternal uncle Unalaq and her first cousins Desna and Eska.” (Source: Wikipedia)
